Who We Are & What We Stand For

The Pflugerville Area Democrats (PfAD) was founded to bring together Democrats in the Pflugerville area — neighbors who believe in freedom, equality, opportunity, and justice — and channel that energy into real electoral results.

We are a Political Action Committee (PAC) affiliated with the Travis County Democratic Party. Our focus is our own backyard: the City of Pflugerville, Pflugerville ISD, Travis County Commission, and the broader state and federal races that affect our community. We believe all politics is local, and we put that belief into practice every election cycle.

PfAD upholds the mission of the Travis County Democratic Party: to recruit and elect public officeholders who support our community values — freedom, equality, opportunity, security, responsibility, and justice.

Precinct Chairs

The people who make it happen

Precinct Chairs are the frontline leaders of PfAD. They are the boots-on-the-ground Democrats who work their neighborhoods to identify Democratic voters, help with voter registration, get out the vote on election day, and make sure no Democrat in their precinct feels alone.

Elections aren't won on election night — they're won in the months of organizing, canvassing, and voter contact that lead up to it.

Here's what PfAD has built:

[2022]: The Pflugerville Area Democrats carried ALL AREA PRECINCTS at an overall percentage of 68% (for Democrats up and down the ballot). This is a direct result of the recruitment of high quality candidates, the generosity of our donors, and the hard work of our volunteers. That success directly impacts the lives of Texans and all Americans because Democrats support and work for:

Equity for ALL Americans.
Access to affordable, high-quality healthcare for all Americans of all ages.
First-class Pre-K-14 education for ALL students.
Affordable higher education.
Equal rights and full voting rights for ALL Americans.
A livable wage.
Affordable housing.
Honesty. Integrity. Fairness… and the right for every American to have their shot at the American Dream!

Democrats support equity for all Americans; access to affordable healthcare; strong public education from Pre-K through community college; equal and full voting rights; a livable wage; affordable housing; and the fundamental right of every American to pursue their own version of the American Dream. When PfAD wins locally, those values advance.

We also focus on our local Pflugerville Area elections, e.g., Pflugerville City Council, Pflugerville ISD Board of Trustees; and Countywide elections that directly effect our area, e.g., County Commissioner’s Court.
